The board serves as a development and evaluation platform for SMARC modules, offering a wide range of video, storage, networking and USB interfaces. According to the manufacturer, the board is rated for the industrial temperature range.

- Mass storage via SATA M 7p connector with dedicated power (shared with M.2 Socket 2 2230/2242/2260 Key B) plus microSD card slot
- Networking with up to 2x Gigabit Ethernet (RJ-45), M.2 Key E 2230 for WiFi/BT and M.2 Key B 2260/3042 for WWAN modem modules with microSIM slot
- USB 3.0, USB 2.0, USB OTG micro-AB and USB 3.1 Type-C plus a PCIe x4 slot shared with the M.2 slots
