E-Paper Displays show content in a low-power, bistable way – the image is retained without power, ideal for labels, signage and battery-powered devices. We supply e-paper displays with integration advice.
What matters when selecting
- Color technology: monochrome, grayscale, 3-color (B/W/red) to 7-color (ACeP)
- Substrate: rigid (glass) or flexible (plastic)
- Refresh mode: full, partial refresh or fast update
- Frontlight: optional for readability in the dark
- Interface: mostly SPI or I²C

Why e-paper instead of LCD?
E-paper retains the image without power (bistability) and is excellently readable in daylight – ideal for long battery life and labels.
Monochrome or color?
Monochrome is fastest and cheapest; 3- to 7-color displays for colored content, but with slower refresh. We advise by application.
What does partial refresh mean?
Partial refresh updates only areas quickly (e.g. counters) without rebuilding the whole display.
