5G HAT for high-performance embedded platforms
The Teltonika Calyx 5G / EBD050 adds integrated 5G cellular connectivity to systems based on Raspberry Pi 4, Raspberry Pi 5, and Rubik Pi. Designed as a HAT+ expansion board, it targets embedded and integration tasks that require higher data throughput, external antenna connectivity, and direct host-level hardware integration.
Designed for host connection and compact system integration
The board provides a 40-pin GPIO header and a USB Type-C interface for integration into existing hardware designs. Power can be supplied either through USB Type-C or through the 40-pin header, supporting compact system layouts where the host platform, data path, and power design need to be tightly aligned.
5G Sub-6 connectivity with LTE and 3G support
The EBD050 variant supports 5G Sub-6 GHz in both SA and NSA operation and also includes 4G LTE Cat 19 and 3G support. This makes the board suitable for applications that require a broad cellular feature set with modern 5G capability directly on the host platform.
Technical integration with GPIO, USB, and external antennas
GPIO functions are available for modem PWR_KEY, wake-up, and reset control. The board also includes a 4FF Nano SIM slot, a PCM digital interface, four SMA connectors for mobile antennas, and status LEDs for power and network indication. With USB 3.0 and expanded antenna connectivity, the EBD050 variant is designed for performance-oriented embedded deployments.
