5G RedCap HAT for compact embedded platforms
The Teltonika Calyx 5G Red Cap / EBD070 adds integrated cellular connectivity to systems based on Raspberry Pi 4, Raspberry Pi 5, and Rubik Pi. Designed as a HAT+ expansion board, it enables direct 5G RedCap connectivity on the host platform for embedded and technical integration projects.
Host-level integration
The board provides a 40-pin GPIO header and a USB Type-C interface for integration into existing hardware designs. Power can be supplied either through USB Type-C or through the 40-pin header, supporting compact system layouts where power input, data connection, and carrier board integration need to be closely aligned.
5G RedCap with additional LTE support
The EBD070 variant supports 5G NR SA in a RedCap-oriented design and also includes 4G LTE support. This makes the board suitable for applications that require modern cellular connectivity on a compact hardware platform while maintaining classic host-side integration through GPIO and USB.
Interfaces and control for embedded projects
GPIO functions are available for PWR_KEY, wake-up, and reset control of the modem. The board also includes a PCM digital interface, a 4FF Nano SIM slot, two SMA connectors for mobile antennas, and status LEDs for power and network indication. Its compact board format supports installation in space-constrained embedded systems.
