All variants of the camera module 3 have:
- Back-illuminated and stacked CMOS image sensor with 12 megapixels (Sony IMX708)
- High signal-to-noise ratio (SNR)
- Integrated dynamic 2D defect pixel correction (DPC)
- Phase detection autofocus (PDAF) for fast autofocus
- QBC re-mosaic function
- HDR mode (up to 3 megapixel output)
- Serial data output CSI-2
- Serial 2-wire communication (supports I2C fast mode and fast mode plus)
- Serial 2-wire control of the focus mechanism
The Camera Module 3 (Standard) is a compact, high-quality camera with phase-detection autofocus, HDR capability, and a 12.3MP Sony IMX708 sensor. It includes an integrated IR cut filter for natural colour imaging and offers excellent performance for photography, streaming, monitoring, and computer vision applications.

Note: Compatible with all Raspberry Pi models with CSI connector. Some Raspberry Pi Zero models may require an adapter cable.
