Managed PoE+ switch for distributed device powering
The Teltonika SWM280 is a managed PoE+ switch designed for networks that need to combine data communication and power delivery centrally over Ethernet. With 24 Gigabit RJ45 ports, including 12 PoE+ capable ports, and 4 SFP ports, the device is positioned for high-performance industrial networks, technical infrastructures, and larger installations that require centralized port density.
12 PoE+ ports for flexible endpoint powering
PoE+ is available on ports 1 to 12 and delivers up to 30 W per port. The total PoE budget is 300 W. This makes the switch suitable for deployments where PoE-capable endpoints such as access points, cameras, gateways, or other network devices need to be powered directly through the switching infrastructure.
SFP uplinks and segmentation for structured networks
In addition to the RJ45 port set, four SFP ports are available for fiber uplinks or backbone connectivity. On the networking side, the SWM280 combines L2+ and L3 functions such as VLAN, STP/RSTP, LACP, IGMP snooping, QoS, bandwidth control, and static IPv4 and IPv6 routing. Dynamic routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF v2, RIP v1/v2, and EIGRP extend its use in segmented and controlled network environments.
Designed for industrial and mixed network environments
The SWM280 supports Profinet, MRP, and EtherNet/IP and is therefore suitable for environments where industrial communication and conventional IT infrastructure need to operate together. Depending on the order code, a version with Profinet Class B conformance is also available.
Rack deployment and central management
The device runs SwmOS and supports Web UI, FOTA, RMS, configuration profiles, and backups. Two years of RMS Management are included. Its 19-inch rack format with anodized aluminium housing is intended for deployment in central network cabinets, technical rooms, and distribution environments.
