The Seco Modular Link MX93 SF-E39-ML-2021-1100-E0 is a DIN rail gateway built around the NXP i.MX 93 SoC with an integrated NPU for edge AI functions. The form factor is fanless, modular, and designed for connecting field devices in industrial environments.

Modular Link MX93 Overview

According to Seco, the gateway is a DIN rail, fanless industrial gateway designed for streamlined integration through a modular, stackable architecture, using a custom connector to add Daughter systems and extend I/O and power distribution. It is based on the NXP i.MX 93 platform with two Arm Cortex-A55 cores, an Arm Cortex-M33, and an Arm Ethos U-65 microNPU for local AI acceleration.

• Video: optional MiniHDMI® interface for resolutions up to 1080p at 60 Hz
• Networking: up to 2x Gigabit Ethernet (RJ45), optional onboard Wi-Fi 802.11 ac/a/b/g/n with Bluetooth 5.0, and a full-size miniPCIe slot for an optional LTE modem with nanoSIM slot
• Interfaces: 2x USB 2.0 Type-A (one with OTG), a software-configurable RS-232/RS-422/RS-485 port on RJ12, and a debug UART over USB-C; optional terminal blocks with digital I/O
• Expansion: proprietary stacking connector for daughter systems exposing I2C, SPI, GPIO, CAN, USB, UART and power
• Environment & power: +12 to +36 VDC supply, -20 °C to +70 °C operating temperature, 140 x 96 x 36 mm enclosure
