Product description
The SOM-SMARC-ASL (manufacturer part number RE08-D832-2122-I3) is a SMARC Rel. 2.1 computer-on-module from Seco with an Intel Atom x7835RE processor, 16 GB of LPDDR5 memory and 32 GB eMMC flash for the industrial temperature range.
SOM-SMARC-ASL Overview
The module belongs to the E08 product family and is handled under this base code for ordering purposes.
Configuration & Features
- With the Intel Atom x7835RE, up to 8 cores and up to 2.0GHz are available, and the module also supports up to 16GB of LPDDR5-4800 memory with IBECC plus 2 x NBase-T Ethernet (2.5GbE supported) and 6x Hi-Speed USB .
- The integrated Intel UHD graphics are based on Intel Xe architecture with up to 32 Execution Units and support up to 3 independent displays ; per the official price list, video interfaces on the RE08-D832-2122-I3 variant are configured as LVDS plus 2x DP++.
- Per the official price list, the RE08-D832-2122-I3 variant features 16GB RAM (dual channel), 32GB eMMC, 2x Ethernet, PCIe in 4x1 or 1x2+2x1 aggregation without SERDES, TPM Q2.0 and an eSPI interface.
- SECO's industrial-grade SOM-SMARC-ASL is based on the Intel Atom x7000RE Series (codename Amston Lake) and supports TSN (Time Sensitive Networking) and TCC (Time Coordinated Computing) for tightly coordinated automation tasks .
- The operating temperature range spans -40°C to +85°C, making the module suitable for industrial automation, medical surveillance and other demanding environments .
- The SMARC form factor uses a 314-pin MXM3-style edge connector, a typical primary power delivery of +5 VDC and TDP values usually below 15 W, which supports fanless designs .
- For ordering purposes, the SOM-SMARC-ADL-N and SOM-SMARC-ASL are referred to by their shared base code, "E08" .
Typical Applications
The SOM-SMARC-ASL is engineered to power Physical AI systems, offering reliable, low-power industrial compute with long lifecycle availability for compact, power-constrained robotics and embedded intelligent systems , such as mobile robotics and AMR. Additional variants and accessories for the SMARC family can be found in the System-on-Modules (SOM/CoM) category.
