PoE+ switch for larger networks and central power distribution
The Teltonika SWM282 is a managed PoE+ switch designed for network infrastructures where data distribution and power delivery need to be combined centrally over Ethernet. With 24 Gigabit PoE+ ports and 4 SFP ports, the device is suitable for larger IIoT, enterprise, and technical networks that need to connect multiple powered endpoints, access points, cameras, or other PoE-capable devices.
High port density with PoE+ and SFP uplinks
The 24 RJ45 ports support PoE and PoE+ with up to 30 W per port and a total power budget of 300 W. The copper port layout is complemented by four SFP ports for fiber uplinks or backbone connections. This makes the switch suitable for both access-layer deployments and uplink scenarios in structured network environments.
L2+, L3, and segmentation for controlled networks
On the networking side, the SWM282 combines L2+ and L3 features. These include VLAN segmentation, STP/RSTP, port aggregation through LACP, IGMP snooping, QoS, bandwidth control, and static IPv4 and IPv6 routing. Dynamic routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF v2, RIP v1/v2, and EIGRP are also supported. This makes the switch suitable for environments that require network segmentation, traffic prioritization, and controlled forwarding behavior.
Designed for industrial and mixed network environments
In addition to standard switching functions, the device supports Profinet, MRP, and EtherNet/IP. This is especially relevant for mixed networks where industrial communication and conventional IT infrastructure need to operate together. Depending on the order code, a version with Profinet Class B conformance is also available.
Management and rack-based deployment
The SWM282 runs on SwmOS and supports Web UI, FOTA, RMS, and configuration profiles. Two years of RMS Management are included. The device is built in a 19-inch rack format, uses an anodized aluminium housing, and is installed with a rack mounting kit. This makes it suitable for central deployments in technical rooms, distribution cabinets, and rack-based network installations.
